Aurora and G2 secure playoff spots at BLAST Open Fall 2026
On August 30, the final group stage matches of BLAST Open Fall 2026 concluded, setting up the decisive playoff matchups. G2 Esports will face Aurora Gaming, while FUT Esports takes on Vitality for the remaining spots in the playoffs.
Aurora Gaming secured their advancement to the Group A lower-bracket final with a convincing 2:0 victory over M80. The Danish squad dominated across both maps, winning on Dust2 with a score of 13:3 and closing out Inferno 13:5. Their opponent in the final is G2 Esports, who also booked their spot by defeating NAVI.
The standout performer for Aurora was Özgür "woxic" Eker, who recorded 29 kills and 14 deaths across the series. His average damage per round (ADR) stood at 83, earning him an MVP rating of 7.5, which was 22% better than his recent average performance.
In Group B, FUT Esports eliminated IC Esports with a clean 2:0 sweep to reach the lower-bracket final. They defeated their opponents on Mirage (13:9) and Nuke (13:6). The French roster will now play a best-of-three match against Vitality for the third and final playoff berth.

Vitality advanced to the Group B lower-bracket final after a hard-fought 2:1 victory over Legacy. The match was decided on the third map, Dust2, where Vitality won 13:8. Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut led the way with 56 kills across three maps and an ADR of 78, outperforming team captain apEX who recorded 54 kills.
The tournament continues at an arena in Porto until September 6. Sixteen teams are competing for a total prize pool of $1.1 million, split between the event ($400,000) and club funding ($700,000).
