ASUS Unveils ROG Strix Platinum PSUs Featuring GaN MOSFETs

ASUS has announced its new ROG Strix Platinum (ROG Equalizer) line of ATX power supplies, incorporating next-generation Gallium Nitride (GaN) MOSFETs. These 80 PLUS Platinum-certified units are designed to enhance power efficiency and voltage stability for modern, high-performance systems.

The core innovation in this series is the integration of GaN MOSFETs. According to ASUS, these components can deliver up to a 30% improvement in power efficiency compared to conventional MOSFETs. The entire lineup carries the 80 PLUS Platinum certification, ensuring high-tier energy efficiency.

Models and Key Features

The lineup consists of three distinct models based on wattage and color:

To maintain power consistency, ASUS has implemented its patented Intelligent Voltage Stabilizer (IVS) technology. When paired with IVS-compatible cables, the 'GPU-First' voltage detection feature is enabled, which ASUS claims can improve voltage stability by up to 45% during gaming or overclocking sessions.

Cooling and Warranty

The units are equipped with dual ball-bearing cooling fans and ROG heatsinks to minimize noise and ensure long-term thermal stability. The chassis dimensions are 160 × 150 × 86 mm, and ASUS provides a 10-year warranty for all models in the series.
