ASUS ProArt P14 and P16 Launch with RTX Spark: Local AI for Creators
ASUS has opened pre-orders for its new ProArt P14 and P16 creator notebooks. The highlight of these machines is the NVIDIA RTX Spark platform, designed to run large-scale AI models and autonomous agents directly on the device, reducing reliance on cloud-based services.
RTX Spark Architecture and Unified Memory
The new platform is built on a combination of a "Grace" CPU, a Blackwell-based RTX GPU, and fifth-generation Tensor Cores supporting FP4 computations. A major technical shift in these notebooks is the use of NVLink-C2C, which tightly couples the CPU and GPU. This enables a Unified Memory architecture, allowing both processors to access a single high-speed memory pool. This approach is vital for handling massive Large Language Models (LLMs) and complex creative projects, as it eliminates the need to copy data between system RAM and VRAM.

ASUS claims the platform can deliver up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and support up to 128 GB of Unified Memory. However, it is important to note that these are peak theoretical values for the entire platform; actual performance and available memory will depend heavily on the specific configuration, model quantization, and the context window of the AI models being used.
Display and Hardware Specifications
The lineup consists of two distinct models:

- ProArt P14: The lightest in the series at 1.48 kg (13.9 mm thick), featuring a 90 Wh battery and a Lumina Pro OLED display with up to 3K resolution and a 120 Hz variable refresh rate.
- ProArt P16: The thinnest 16-inch model in the series, weighing 1.77 kg (12.9 mm thick), equipped with a 99 Wh battery and a Lumina Pro OLED display supporting up to 4K resolution and NVIDIA G-SYNC.
Both laptops include modern connectivity, including USB4 (Type-C), HDMI 2.1 FRL, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Buyers should verify specific SKU details, as memory capacities vary significantly between models (ranging from 24 GB to 128 GB), and card readers differ, with the P14 using SD 4.0 and the P16 utilizing SD Express 7.0.
Software Ecosystem and AI Agents
To support local AI workflows, ASUS is introducing software like MuseTree (integrating with FLUX and Wan models) and StoryCube for media asset management. A key focus is placed on AI agents, such as Hermes Agent (developed by Nous Research), which can operate across desktop applications, terminals, and local files. These agents are designed to work with ComfyUI to automate complex generative video and image workflows.

Additionally, ASUS announced the ProArt GR1X, a compact mini-PC designed for creators and developers to run local AI workloads. The GR1X is expected to launch later in 2026.
Pricing and Availability
In Germany, the ProArt P14 is priced starting at €3,299, while the ProArt P16 starts at €2,999. Shipments are scheduled to begin on October 16, 2026. Customers who pre-order by the end of October may receive a free ProArt MD300 wireless mouse.
