ARK: Survival Ascended Community Crunch 521 Launches Galleon and Conquest Season 8
ARK: Survival Ascended has officially launched the Galleon, a massive new fortress-style structure designed for open-water gameplay, alongside the full completion of the Astraeos map. The update also introduces Conquest Season 8, a large-scale PvP mode with increased rates and specific server configurations, while temporarily disabling structure decay to resolve lingering issues from recent outages.
The Galleon is now available for all players, offering a new canvas for base building on the water. This absolute behemoth comes equipped with a formidable battery of cannons, allowing tribes to defend their floating fortresses against passing disagreements or full broadsides. The timing of this release aligns perfectly with the arrival of new water physics, which bring rolling waves and shifting seas to the experience. With Astraeos now reaching its completed form, there are more reasons than ever to leave the shoreline behind and explore where the tides take you. Whether you are charting a course across Astraeos or braving the waters of Genesis, the Galleon is ready to carry your adventures onto the open seas.
For those looking to settle in, structure decay has been temporarily disabled while developers finish resolving a small number of lingering tribe issues related to last week's OC server outage. Valve Corporation plans to re-enable this feature next Friday, September 4, alongside the opening of transfers on Genesis Part 1. Transfers on Genesis Ascended Part 1 Official servers will officially open on September 4th, allowing players to move items, creatures, and characters onto the map without restriction. Valve has also aligned this timing with the Genesis Part 1 Expires servers, giving players a couple of weeks to move everything over before those servers close on September 18th. As always, don't forget to pack your Dodos in bubble wrap, Survivors!
Conquest Season 8 has arrived, bringing large-scale PvP with increased rates and other changes designed to help tribes establish themselves quickly and rebuild after potential losses instead of being wiped completely. The official Conquest servers are open for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. This season features a total of 18 maps, all based on Genesis Part 1. Cluster A consists of 12 servers that had transfers enabled with Classic before they shut down. Cluster B includes 6 servers with transfers only enabled between those 6 servers for 2 weeks. Transfers between Cluster A and Cluster B will open on July 17th at 10 AM PT.
The season runs at 5x rates, with Tek enabled except for specific items including the Tek Grenade, Tapejara Tek Saddle, Megalodon Tek Saddle, Rock Drake Tek Saddle, Mosasur Tek Saddle, and the Tek Railgun. All 18 maps will become Genesis Part 1. Additionally, this weekend the Official Network will be receiving bonus rates until Monday, August 31. PVP/PVE servers will see 2x Harvesting, Taming, Experience, and Breeding. Small Tribes will enjoy 4.5x Harvesting, Taming, Experience, and 4x Breeding. ARKpocalypse servers will run at 5x Harvesting, Taming, Experience, and Breeding.
Community tools are also getting a boost. Dododex, the trusty companion for taming and breeding calculations, is adding an upcoming improved stat calculator that will finally support tamed and bred creatures. The new calculator will feature customizable stat grading and name suggestions from the Dododex community. It will launch first on the web version of Dododex, with a specific launch date to be announced soon.
