Arc Raiders and The Finals set for TV and film adaptations
Production company Chernin Entertainment has announced that it will develop television and film adaptations for two major franchises from Sweden-based Embark Studios: the multiplayer shooter The Finals and the extraction shooter Arc Raiders.
The partnership aims to bring the intellectual property of Embark Studios to the screen. Chernin Entertainment, which has been involved in the production of The Backrooms, will lead the creative efforts for these upcoming transmedia projects.
Both games have achieved significant milestones in the industry. The Finals has established itself as a prominent free-to-play multiplayer shooter. Meanwhile, Arc Raiders has seen massive commercial success, with Embark Studios reporting 14 million copies sold worldwide. The title also earned the award for Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards 2025.
While the announcement confirms the intent to create adaptations, specific details regarding the production format, casting, or release windows have not yet been disclosed.
