AMD Radeon RX 7500 may be in development, but it's a questionable addition
While the graphics market remains volatile, rumors of a new entry-level AMD Radeon GPU are surfacing. Recent software updates suggest that an 'AMD RX 7500' might be on the horizon, potentially addressing a gap in the current RDNA 3 lineup, though there is little evidence to suggest this will be a major milestone for users.
According to recent release notes from HWiNFO, the software has added support for an 'AMD RX 7500'. As of now, no graphics card with this specific designation exists in the public market. If the name is accurate, such a model would sit between the existing Radeon RX 7600 and the OEM-only RX 7400, providing a mid-tier option within the budget segment of the RDNA 3 architecture.
Speculation vs. Reality
The HWiNFO leak, however, provides no concrete technical specifications. Based on the current positioning of the RX 7600 and RX 7400, it is reasonable to assume the RX 7500 would utilize a Navi 33 GPU. This would likely place its stream processor count somewhere between the 1,792 cores found in the RX 7600 and the lower-tier configurations of its siblings.
This speculation is complicated by previous leaks. In 2025, a prototype was reportedly spotted by a user on X (formerly Twitter), identified as GOKForFree. That leak suggested a 'Navi 33 XE' GPU featuring 1,536 stream processors, 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM, and a 96-bit bus. However, these specs actually fall below the RX 7400, which would suggest a 'RX 7300' moniker rather than a 7500, making the HWiNFO mention even more ambiguous.

Market Positioning and Risks
Even if an RX 7500 does materialize, its impact remains uncertain. Launching a new RDNA 3 card in 2026 faces significant headwinds, particularly as AMD shifts focus toward its next-generation RDNA 4 budget offerings, such as the rumored RX 9050 8GB and RX 9050 4GB. There is a risk that a new RX 7500 could cannibalize sales of these upcoming RDNA 4 models, leading AMD to potentially abandon the project altogether.
