AMD reportedly raises Radeon GPU prices in China, RX 9070 up by $104
AMD has reportedly notified its partners about upcoming price adjustments for several Radeon graphics cards. According to Board Channels, these changes could impact both the Chinese and international markets. While the manufacturer has not officially confirmed these updates, such shifts typically reflect rising manufacturing and memory costs.
Price Adjustments in China
The reported price hikes are expected to take effect in the fourth quarter. The most significant absolute increase is attributed to the Radeon RX 9070, which could see a rise of ¥700 (approximately $104). Other models expected to increase in price include the Radeon RX 9060 XT (both 16GB and 8GB variants) and the Radeon RX 7650 GRE.
Notably, the Radeon RX 9070 XT is reportedly unaffected by these changes. This would significantly narrow the price gap between the standard RX 9070 and the RX 9070 XT in the Chinese market to just ¥700.
Alleged Price Updates (China)
- Radeon RX 9070 XT: Unchanged (¥6,999 / ~$1,044)
- Radeon RX 9070: +¥700 (~$104)
- Radeon RX 9070 GRE: +¥400 (~$60)
- Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB: +¥600 (~$89)
- Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB: +¥300 (~$45)
- Radeon RX 7650 GRE: +¥400 (~$60)
If these rumors materialize, the price increases might extend to global markets, though currently, this information remains unconfirmed by AMD.
