Alldocube teases compact iPlay 80 mini with 8.7-inch display and 4G LTE
Alldocube has begun teasing its new iPlay 80 mini tablet ahead of its scheduled launch in Japan. The device is designed as a portable solution for reading comics and browsing on the go.
According to social media posts from Alldocube Japan, the iPlay 80 mini will join the existing lineup that already includes the iPlay 80 mini Pro and the performance-oriented iPlay 80 mini Turbo. This new model features an 8.7-inch display, which is slightly larger than the 8.4-inch panel found on the Pro version. However, specific details regarding the screen's resolution and refresh rate have not yet been disclosed.
The tablet is designed for mobility, measuring 7.8 mm in thickness and weighing approximately 350 g. A key feature confirmed by the manufacturer is 4G LTE connectivity, enabling internet access during travel without relying on Wi-Fi or mobile tethering.
Positioning within the lineup
The iPlay 80 mini sits below the iPlay 80 mini Turbo in terms of specifications. The Turbo model features an 8.8-inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. For the standard iPlay 80 mini, the exact processor and other hardware specifications remain unannounced. The Japanese launch is set for November 4, 2026, with no information currently available regarding its price or global availability.
