Akasa expands its 35W fanless Mini-ITX case for desktop Intel Core 8th-14th Gen and Core 200 CPUs
Akasa has introduced the Euler MX2, a new fanless Mini-ITX case designed for Intel processors with a TDP of up to 35W. This model expands upon the Euler CMX released in February by increasing the chassis volume to accommodate additional storage.
Increased volume and storage support
The primary upgrade in the Euler MX2 is its expanded capacity. The chassis measures 5.2 liters (272.6 × 205 × 92.6 mm), making it approximately 30% larger than the 4.0-liter Euler CMX.
This extra space allows for two internal 2.5-inch SATA bays, supporting SSDs or HDDs up to 9.5 mm in thickness. While the smaller CMX relies exclusively on M.2 storage mounted directly on the motherboard, the MX2 provides more flexibility for users requiring additional high-capacity drives.
Compatibility and target use
The case is designed for desktop Intel Core processors from the 8th-14th Gen and the new Core 200 series, provided the CPU TDP does not exceed 35W. This makes the Euler MX2 a viable option for building silent, fanless systems such as media centers or compact workstations.
