AION 2 Gear and Enhancement Guide
Equipment can quickly become your largest expense. This guide explains when to enhance, which materials to save and how to replace items without wasting progress.
Equipment and combat power
Gear is a major source of power, but sets are replaced quickly on the road to level 45. Do not judge an item by one number alone: consider base stats, class-relevant secondary properties and its potential for future upgrades.

A sensible enhancement strategy
Early enhancement steps are more predictable, while higher tiers become expensive and risky. Exact rates depend on the live build, so trust the values shown by the global client rather than an old table from another region.
Manastones, godstones and soul binding
- Manastones add selected attributes and help refine a build.
- Godstones provide a special combat effect that should match your playstyle.
- Soul binding can reveal or modify additional item properties.
- Always review cost, success chance and consumed resources before confirming.
Do not copy a stat setup blindly. Tanks value stability and survival, healers need reliable resources and output, while damage classes must balance offense, accuracy and enough durability to survive mechanics.
Inheritance and extraction
Inheritance transfers part of your investment from an old item to a new one. Compare both pieces and verify the receiving item before confirming; the interface should preview the result.
Extraction can return some materials from unwanted equipment, but it does not necessarily refund every investment. Currency, inserted stones or special components may be lost, so read the confirmation window carefully.
