Acer Swift Blade 14 and Air 16 with 3K-OLED
Acer has announced three new laptops at IFA 2026 in Berlin, headlined by the Swift Blade 14, which weighs 799 grams, and the Swift Air 16, which features a 3K-OLED display option. The company also introduced the fourth-generation Vero 16, a Copilot+ PC focused on repairability and sustainable materials.
The Swift Blade 14 (SFB14-53CF) is the lightest of the trio, weighing 799 grams (1.76 lbs) and measuring 12.9 mm in thickness. Acer achieves this ultralight build using carbon fiber covers and a magnesium-aluminum alloy keyboard deck. The laptop is available with Intel Core 7 350, Core 5 320, Core 5 315, or Intel Core 3 304 processors. It includes 12 GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory and a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD with capacities up to 1 TB. Display options include a 2.880 x 1.800 resolution panel, with the OLED variant offering 90 Hz refresh rate and full DCI-P3 color coverage, while the IPS panel operates at 60 Hz with 45% NTSC color gamut. The device is equipped with a 50 Wh battery and three USB-C ports, two of which support full functionality. Fast charging allows the battery to reach 50% in 30 minutes using the included 100 W power adapter.
The Swift Air 16 (SFA16-I31T/SFA16-I31) offers a larger 16-inch screen in an all-aluminum chassis weighing 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs). It is 13.3 to 13.5 mm thick and supports up to an Intel Core 7 350 processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and a 512 GB SSD. Display configurations include a 3K-OLED panel with 2.880 x 1.800 resolution, up to 500 nits brightness, and 120 Hz refresh rate, as well as a WUXGA-OLED option. The IPS variant features 1.920 x 1.200 resolution, 400 nits brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut, and multi-touch support. This model includes a 70 Wh battery, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a USB-A port. Like the Blade 14, it supports fast charging to 50% in 30 minutes via a 100 W adapter. Both Swift models feature a mechanical camera cover, a backlit keyboard, and a Full HD webcam with infrared technology for Windows Hello.
The Vero 16 represents Acer's fourth-generation sustainable laptop, transitioning the line's focus from recycled materials to right-to-repair engineering. The chassis combines low-carbon aluminum, 50% post-industrial recycled aluminum, and post-consumer recycled plastics. Acer has expanded its environmental framework to encompass 4R principles: repairability, reduce, reuse, and recycle. To facilitate self-service repairs, the Vero 16 includes a visual repair guide engraved on the bottom cover, tool-free access latches, removable I/O port covers, and a detachable screen hinge. Users can independently swap out the battery and SSD, and the internal architecture is designed to support CPU upgrades for at least two future processor generations. Performance is anchored by the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, up to 32 GB of RAM, and display options extending to a 2.8K OLED screen.
The Swift Blade 14 and Swift Air 16 are scheduled to roll out in EMEA regions in December 2026. The Vero 16 is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2027. Acer has not announced prices or specific configurations for any of the three models.
