World of Warcraft Hotfixes: Class and Balance Updates
Blizzard released a series of hotfixes for World of Warcraft, covering Midnight, Classic, and current expansions. The list includes class ability fixes and boss balance adjustments.
Blizzard Entertainment has released a fresh list of hotfixes for World of Warcraft, covering multiple fronts: from the current Midnight and Season of Discovery content to Mists of Pandaria Classic and Burning Crusade Classic. The updates spanning October 13 to October 26 focus on fixing critical class issues, adjusting dungeon difficulty, and resolving quest-related bugs.
A major focus of the updates involves class ability adjustments. For Shaman (Enhancement), an issue where Voltaic Blaze failed to hit secondary targets when Ula'tek was the primary target has been resolved. Additionally, Surging Elements will now correctly appear in the Cooldown Manager. Warlock (Affliction) players will no longer see incorrect Summon Darkglare displays, and summons—including Shadows of Nath'reza and Dominion of Argus—will now correctly target enemies outside of combat.
Significant attention was given to Labyrinth and Delves content. Developers addressed several bugs hindering scenario progression, such as the Pit Boss despawning in Returning the Bounty and issues with boss kill credit. Furthermore, Valeera's Stagger mechanic has been fixed to function correctly even when a healer is present in the delve or labyrinth. For those navigating the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan, fixes were applied to L00T RAID-R Mini usage and the availability of the lever in the A Golden Opportunity scenario for level 80+ players.
Boss balancing touched numerous encounters. Health and damage values were reduced for several enemies, including Ascendant Serpent, Living Venom, and Sporeblight Belcher. Meanwhile, on Mythic difficulty in The Coiled Altar, adjustments were made to the spawn rates of orbs and mutations, alongside visual and mechanical refinements to Manifestations of Dread to improve combat clarity.
In the PvP arena, significant changes were made to economy and balance: Conquest and Bloody Tokens are now uncapped, and the Spoils of War buff provides a substantial boost to Honor and Conquest gains. Additionally, a bug affecting Paladin (Holy) players—where casting Blessing of Protection would put Spreading the Word on cooldown—has been resolved.
