World of Horror ‘AS BELOW SO ABOVE’ Update Now Available for PC, Launches in 2027 for PS4 and Switch
The largest-ever update for World of Horror adds 20% more content, new characters, and Scenario Mode to PC.
Publisher Ysbryd Games and developer Panstasz have released a major free update for the cosmic horror RPG World of Horror, titled “AS BELOW SO ABOVE.” The update is currently available for PC, with a planned release for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in 2027.
The “AS BELOW SO ABOVE” update expands World of Horror by 20%, introducing new events, enemies, mysteries, characters, items, spells, curses, and injuries. It also includes a significant batch of quality-of-life features and bug fixes.
New narrative elements raise the stakes, including two manifestations of the Old Gods: IKT-YOSIS, THE FIRST NIGHTMARE, whose ritualistic awakening reshapes the world and alters weather, and the War for Shokawa, involving four cults summoning eldritch masters simultaneously.
Three new playable characters have joined the roster, including the tarotist KIRIKO and the hiker SATOSHI. Additionally, a new Scenario Mode introduces self-contained stories set before the main game, such as the FOREST OF FEAR / TAPES OF TRAGEDY, featuring MAKOTO, an AV club member filming a documentary about local legends.
Modders on Steam Workshop will also benefit from expanded customization options, allowing for the creation of new enemies, events, and mysteries.
