T1 defeat BNK FEARX to reach LCK 2026 upper bracket semifinal
T1 secured a hard-fought 3:2 victory over BNK FEARX in the upper bracket quarterfinal of the LCK 2026 Season playoffs, advancing to face Gen.G Esports in the semifinal round.
The match began with a dramatic swing. T1 took the opening map with a dominant 25–8 scoreline, but BNK FEARX responded immediately with a crushing 22–4 win on the second map. The visitors extended their lead by taking the third map 15–7, forcing T1 into a decisive Game 4.
T1 managed to force a deciding game with a gritty 16–11 victory in the fourth match, showcasing resilience. They sealed the series with an overwhelming 27–7 win in the fifth map to complete the comeback and secure their spot in the upper bracket semifinal.
Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun delivered the best average K/D/A for T1 at 3.9/2.9/6.4, while Keria recorded an impressive assist percentage of 82.4%. For BNK FEARX, Raptor led with a K/D/A of 4.5/3.9/5.2 and Taeyoon contributed significantly with 15.3K farm.
T1 will now face Gen.G Esports in the upper bracket semifinal on September 1, while BNK FEARX drops to the lower bracket for their next match.
