Spirit, Vitality, Falcons, and NAVI learn their group opponents at Esports World Cup 2026
The Esports World Cup 2026 organizers have officially released the group draw for the Counter-Strike 2 tournament, splitting the field into four groups. A total of 32 teams will compete in the group stage, fighting for a prize pool of $2 million. The event is scheduled to take place from August 12 to 23.
Each group consists of invited teams alongside winners from the open qualifiers held in Paris. The results of these opening matches will determine the subsequent positions in the bracket and which participants will advance to the playoffs.
Group Breakdown
Group A: This group features Team Spirit, Aurora Gaming, G2 Esports, BIG, and JiJieHao. The latter qualified through the open qualifier. Also present are GamerLegion, Luminosity, and M80.
Group B: Home to Team Falcons, Astralis, FaZe Clan, and Legacy. The group also includes B8, MIBR.LOS, Ninjas in Pyjamas eStar, and K27 Esports.
Group C: Reigning champion The MongolZ will begin its title defense here. The group also hosts Team Vitality, MOUZ, FUT Esports, B8 Esports, PVISION, TYLOO, Lynn Vision Gaming, and 100 Thieves.
Group D: This group includes Natus Vincere, FURIA, The MongolZ, paiN Gaming, 3DMAX, as well as G2 OQAD, Magic, and Wildcard.
