Kachoww May Miss VALORANT Champions 2026 if Fire Flux Esports Qualifies

The 17-year-old Samet "Kachoww" Arıcı might not be able to participate in VALORANT Champions 2026, even if Fire Flux Esports qualifies for the tournament. The reason is the age restrictions in place in China.

According to official information from Riot Games, all participants in the world championship must be at least 18 years old. If a team qualifies with an underage player, they will need to make a roster change. However, in the qualifying tournaments, representatives from Challengers in EMEA, Americas, and Pacific can compete from the age of 16.

Kachoww will still be 17 during the VALORANT Champions 2026. Riot Games has not yet announced whether the player will receive an exemption from the rule, so if Fire Flux Esports makes it to the world championship, the team may need a substitute.

Fire Flux Esports continues to fight for a spot at Champions in the Play-In VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2. In the first match, the team defeated Team Heretics with a score of 2:1, and on August 15, they will face Enterprise Esports.
