Sony unveils Prism Collection: transparent accessories for PS5
Sony Interactive Entertainment has introduced the Prism Collection, a new lineup of accessories for PlayStation 5. The collection features DualSense wireless controllers and console covers, all sporting striking transparent designs with a premium glossy finish.
The collection draws inspiration from the iconic transparent design trend of the late '90s, reimagined to complement the industrial aesthetic of the PS5. The series includes three distinct colorways: vibrant Flare Orange, elegant Emerald Green, and sophisticated Graphite Gray.
A key design element is the interplay between transparent materials and metallic finishes. The high-gloss clear finish on the back of the DualSense controllers offers a glimpse of the internal technology while maintaining a sleek look. According to the design team, the colors were specifically chosen for their depth: the orange takes on a rosy hue where the material overlaps, and the green gains richness through its transparency.
Pre-orders for the Prism Collection begin on November 10, 2026. The official launch is scheduled for February 4, 2027. Availability may vary by region, with sales conducted through the "PlayStation" Store and selected retailers.
