siuhy's Astralis makes playoffs at Stake Pulse Beat III
The new international Astralis roster has made a strong start at the Stake Pulse Beat III LAN in Sweden. Following the official addition of Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek and Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov yesterday, the squad secured the top spot in Group C, advancing to the playoffs.
Astralis opened their campaign with a series against the Asian side Sashi. After a tight battle on Nuke that went into overtime, where Astralis rallied from an 8-12 deficit to win 16-13, they followed up with a dominant performance on Mirage. A commanding 9-3 lead in the first half allowed them to close out the series 13-9.
The second match against HOTU proved to be a more grueling test, requiring a full three-map series. After dropping Dust2 6-13, Astralis fought through a tense Ancient, eventually securing a 16-14 overtime victory. They finished the series emphatically on Nuke, overwhelming HOTU with a 13-2 victory to complete the comeback.
With their qualification secured, Astralis joins Ninjas in Pyjamas, Sangal, Liquid, and 100 Thieves in the single-elimination playoffs. They are currently awaiting the results of Group D to determine their quarterfinal opponent, with the next match scheduled for October 16th.
