Rumor: ANGE1 to Lead Fnatic

Fnatic is reportedly preparing for a major restructuring ahead of the VCT 2027 season. According to Sheep Esports, Kirill "ANGE1" Karasev is set to become the new head coach for the VALORANT roster, replacing Andrey "ENGH" Sholokhov.

While an official announcement has yet to be made, the coaching change marks a significant shift for the organization. ANGE1 transitioned into coaching with NAVI after retiring from professional play before the 2026 season. His tenure there was marked by visa complications and roster instability, resulting in the team failing to reach the playoffs in both stages of VCT EMEA.

ENGH took over Fnatic prior to VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2. The team's performance saw them exit at the Play-In stage, marking the first time in the club's history that they missed all international tournaments during a VCT season. Sheep Esports had previously reported that the coach would not remain with the organization for the upcoming year.

The coaching overhaul is part of a broader roster movement. Reports suggest Fnatic has already reached agreements to sign Martin "marteen" Patek and Patrick "Minny" Gusek from Gentle Mates. Conversely, Emir Ali "Alfajer" Beder is expected to move in the opposite direction.

The team's next major appearance is scheduled for Red Bull Home Ground 2026 in Los Angeles, running from December 10 to 13. While the tournament is approaching, ANGE1's involvement remains unconfirmed, as his potential appointment is tied to the 2027 campaign.
