Ubisoft Releases Y11S3.1 Patch for Rainbow Six Siege: Buck Buff and Horus Lance Fixes
Ubisoft has rolled out the Y11S3.1 update for Rainbow Six Siege. The patch focuses on buffing Buck, increasing damage for specific shotguns, and addressing several bugs related to Noor's Horus Lance gadget.
Ubisoft described these adjustments as targeted, aiming to make weapons and devices more stable and convenient to use. Buck receives a boost to his Skeleton Key under-barrel shotgun, with total ammo increasing from 31 to 36 rounds. Shotgun lethality has also seen an uptick: M1014 damage rose from 28 to 30 units, while SPAS-15 damage increased from 24 to 26 units. These changes impact Ace, Castle, Pulse, Thermite, Caveira, and Thunderbird.
Other notable operator and weapon adjustments include:
- Castle: Armor Panels now require 10 melee hits instead of nine to destroy.
- Fenrir: F-NATT Dread Mine gas reaches maximum range in 1.9 seconds instead of two.
- Maestro: Evil Eye camera battery life is extended from eight to nine seconds.
- Thermite: Exothermic Charge damage increased from 200 to 220 units, making explosions more dangerous near reinforced surfaces.
- Sledge: Breaching Hammer swing speed improved from 1 to 0.8 seconds.
A significant portion of the update addresses bugs involving the Horus Lance. Fixes include resolving issues where players could avoid damage by pressing shields against walls, preventing improper gadget switching during the device's effect, and correcting various animation and visual glitches. Additionally, the patch cleans up map-related issues on House and Consulate and ensures that operator icons are correctly displayed in the Team Deathmatch kill feed.
