Quest Fixes and Steam Invites for Permafrost
Toplitz Productions has released a hotfix for Permafrost. The update addresses several reported quest blockers, restores functionality to Steam invites, and introduces localization improvements.
The update addresses several quest-breaking bugs caused by incorrect step orders or early item pickups. A fix has been implemented for the Hopes and Dreams quest; however, players who already picked up the glitched recording before this hotfix may still have stuck saves. The developers are working on a fix for those specific saves in an upcoming patch. Additionally, High Frequency can now be completed while Hopes and Dreams is still active.
To assist with lost items, players can now speak to Anna or Skinwalker to receive a new quest key if it is missing from both the inventory and the reward chest. This applies to Breaking the Radio Silence, The Way Home, and Rise Above the Cold.
Multiplayer connectivity has been improved: Steam chat and friend list invites now work, provided the joining player has launched the game and is at the main menu. UI improvements include a fix for the quest tracker when changing languages and the ability to correctly pin crafting recipes.
The hotfix also includes stability and localization updates. This includes a fix for a crash related to workbench crafting, improved building preview visuals, and fixes for Chinese text scaling. Furthermore, Cold Resistance and time units in building and cooking progress bars have been localized.
