Pokémon UNITE to end service on March 23, 2027
The Pokémon Company has announced that services for Pokémon UNITE will be discontinued. The game will cease operations on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android on March 23, 2027, at 09:00.
Launched in July 2021, Pokémon UNITE is a strategic team battle game. As the service approaches its end, developers have outlined a transition plan for the community.
To thank players, a series of special events and updates will be implemented starting November 12. These events will allow players to acquire various items, including Unite Licenses and Holowear. Additionally, a new "Library" feature will be added, allowing players to view match history, obtained licenses, and Holowear even after the service ends. To use this feature, players must complete the necessary data download before the shutdown date.
Planned esports activities will proceed as scheduled. The Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo tournament will take place, with qualifying stages starting on December 5, 2026.
The schedule for the service termination is as follows:
- October 27, 2026: Discontinuation of "Gem" sales and cessation of new UNITE Membership subscriptions and auto-renewals.
- November 12, 2026: Launch of special events and updates.
- December 5, 2026: Commencement of Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo qualifying matches.
- March 23, 2027: Full termination of services.
