Pokémon GO Minior Showers Schedule
Minior has officially landed in Pokémon GO. Staying true to its celestial theme, this Pokémon is only available during specific Minior Showers that coincide with real-world meteor showers. Each event features a different color, making the schedule essential for anyone looking to complete their collection.
Catching Minior requires specific timing. In the wild, it appears in its Meteor Form (the brown, rocky shell) only between 5:00 PM and 11:59 PM local time during the scheduled showers. It is important to target the Meteor Form specifically; the colored Core Form is only revealed once the Pokémon's HP drops below 50% in battle. If you miss a specific color window, your only options are trading or waiting until next year.
To assist hunters, Minior spawn rates are increased between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM local time during these events. Players can look for in-game shooting stars as a visual cue that the bonus is active.
Minior Showers Schedule
Each shower brings a new color, with the exception of the Geminids shower, which will feature two distinct forms based on the Northern and Southern hemispheres. The current schedule is as follows:
- Orionids: October 19th – 24th (Green Minior)
- Leonids: November 14th – 19th (Color TBA)
- Geminids: December 11th – 16th (North and South forms TBA)
- Eta Aquariids: May 3rd – 8th (Color TBA)
- Southern Delta Aquarrids: July 28th – August 2nd (Color TBA)
- Perseids: August 10th – 15th (Color TBA)
In combat, the two forms offer different stat profiles: Meteor Form provides high Defense but low Attack, while Core Form shifts to high Attack and low Defense. Currently, form changes are primarily triggered during battles against Team Rocket or in the Go Battle League.
Research and Shiny Forms
Players can also participate in the 'Minior Shower Timed Research' quest. Completing the steps can yield up to 77,400 Stardust, with a potential bonus research offering a massive 1,000,000 Stardust reward.
For those hunting for rare variants, note that shiny Minior is currently not available in Pokémon GO. Collectors will have to wait for a future update to find the shiny versions of these meteor-themed Pokémon.
