PlayStation Store: September 2026’s top downloads
Sony Interactive Entertainment has released the download statistics for the PlayStation Store for September 2026. The month was defined by a battle between sports simulations and major exclusives, with Marvel’s Wolverine and EA Sports FC 27 splitting the top spots across different regions.
On PS5, Marvel’s Wolverine claimed the number one spot in the US and Canada. However, in the EU, EA Sports FC 27 took the lead, pushing the Marvel title to second place. Other notable entries in the top five for both regions included Halloween, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and the perennial hit Minecraft.
The PS4 charts showed different trends. In the US and Canada, Red Dead Redemption 2 was the most downloaded title, whereas EA Sports FC 27 led the charts in the EU. Established titles like Batman: Arkham Knight and Call of Duty: WWII remained highly popular across both territories.
In the PS VR2 category, I Am Cat emerged as the top download in North America, while the EU saw a split between I Am Cat and Beat Saber. For the Free to Play segment (available on both PS4 and PS5), Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite remained dominant, alongside the rising popularity of Once Human.
