World of Warcraft Pirate’s Day Celebration: Details
Set sail for Booty Bay! Blizzard Entertainment has announced the upcoming Pirate’s Day celebration, kicking off on September 19. This event will be available in both World of Warcraft and WoW Classic, bringing themed treasures and activities to the seas.
The festivities center around Booty Bay, where Dread Captain DeMeza is recruiting new crew members. Players can visit her to purchase new transmog options, such as the Pirate’s Eyepatch for 1,000 gold. Additionally, a temporary companion named Petey will be available for a small fee to accompany players on their adventures.
The event features specific quests and encounters. By joining a jig with the Captain, players can access the quest "You’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat!" to earn an Emergency Pirate Outfit. Players will also face an elite shark named Ol’Eary; defeating this terror of the deep will lead to a beach party south of the bay. For those with the Advast Ye, Admiral feat of strength, a special Jolly Roger toy will be available from Edward Techt.

In WoW Classic, the celebration takes on a community feel. For 24 hours, NPCs in major cities—including Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Darnassus, Exodar, Ironforge, Silvermoon City, Thunderbluff, and Undercity—will don pirate attire. In Booty Bay, players can toast with the Captain to receive a 12-hour pirate costume buff and complete the achievement The Captain's Booty.

Skyriding enthusiasts can also participate by using the Pirate's Day Armor at a Rostrum of Transformation. This allows players to equip their Highland Drake with a themed coffer-carrying saddle, adding a swashbuckling touch to their flight.
