BlizzCon 2026: World of Warcraft: Forever announced and Midnight S3 details revealed

Following the conclusion of BlizzCon 2026, World of Warcraft has received several major updates. The highlights include the announcement of World of Warcraft: Forever, insights into Midnight, and new story reveals.

The most significant announcement is the introduction of World of Warcraft: Forever. This project features a reimagined version of the original Azeroth, designed to grow over many years. A beta for World of Warcraft: Forever is currently live, allowing community veterans, press, and friends and family to explore the world and provide feedback to the development team.

Regarding the Midnight expansion, the developers provided a preview of the dungeon pool for Midnight S3 during the Midnight: What’s Next panel. The team noted that these previews are part of an ongoing planning process and they intend to use community feedback to shape the upcoming season.

Other major reveals from the show include the World of Warcraft: Midnight: Eclipse announcement and a look at the darker narrative turns in Talebound. Additionally, the Abyssal Crown Collection was introduced, offering new cosmetic items themed around the Void.
