Nyx Assassin Impale Talent Bug Explained by Team Spirit Analyst
Dota 2 analyst Denis "sikle" Lerman, representing Team Spirit, has confirmed a bug affecting the Nyx Assassin talent system. The talent intended to increase the stun duration of Impale fails to apply its bonus unless players follow a specific, rare sequence of skill leveling and talent selection.
The additional stun duration only activates if the player selects the talent for Impale first and then levels up the ability at least once. If the skill has already reached its maximum level before the talent is chosen, the bonus does not apply.
In practice, this sequence is rare because players usually prioritize leveling Impale: the fourth level of the skill is reached at the hero's seventh level, while the talent becomes available only at the tenth level. Previously, a similar issue occurred with Impale, where item radius bonuses also required buying the artifact before leveling the skill; that bug was finally fixed by developers in August.
Valve recently released a small patch for Dota 2 that added an arsenal fullness indicator. Once filled, players cannot receive items through the Steam Marketplace and trades with other users, though purchasing items directly in the game client remains available. Additionally, developers removed the button for receiving rewards in the fantasy league The International 2026.
