The video, shared on the official Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance X account on September 7, 2026, demonstrates the Charge Axe's specific Boost Activation actions. These include a leaping slash that transitions directly into a charged attack, and a defensive guard that flows into a spinning slash. These moves are designed to amplify the weapon's already high damage output, allowing hunters to deliver significantly more powerful strikes.
The Boost Bracer serves as a new hunting tool that enables a temporary "Boost State." While active, this state enhances various actions for a set duration, unlocking new techniques and attack derivations. The video also indicates that certain Charge Axe actions can perform a "nullification" effect while in this boosted condition.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is a large-scale expansion that will include Master Rank content, new monsters, new fields, and an expanded storyline. The title is scheduled for release in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
