ACDC Wins StarCraft Tournament 4:1
ACDC defeated Young Thirty 4:1 to win the Jana StarCraft 26: StarCraft with Chzzk tournament. The final took place on September 6 at COEX Artium, where DDaHyoNi's carrier builds proved decisive in securing the championship for the team led by Kim Seong-hyun.
ACDC entered the final as the top seed after dominating the full league stage. Their opponents, Young Thirty, advanced by defeating Dopung Rameungo 3:0 in the semifinals. The match featured five games across different tiers, with ACDC winning four of them.
In the first game of the D-tier, Ingan Jelly (Zerg) defeated Ssangbae (Terran) in just three minutes. Ingan Jelly executed a 4-drone rush on the map Fighting Spirit, overwhelming Ssangbae's early defense before the Terran player could establish a stable economy.
The second game, a C-tier match on Polypoid, saw DDaHyoNi (Protoss) defeat Sowrum (Terran). DDaHyoNi started with an aggressive natural double expansion, while Sowrum attempted to disrupt with vultures. After losing several dragoons to harassment, DDaHyoNi transitioned to a carrier build. Despite Sowrum's attempts to defend with goliaths and turrets, DDaHyoNi's eight carriers broke through the defense, forcing a GG.
In the third game, a B-tier match on Fighting Spirit, Flame (Zerg) defeated Jeongryeongwang (Protoss). Jeongryeongwang pushed early with a two-gate build and shield batteries, but Flame defended with spore colonies and used zerglings to harass the Protoss base. Flame then built up a hydra rush, which overwhelmed Jeongryeongwang's photon cannon defense before it was fully established.
The fourth game, an A-tier Protoss versus Protoss match on Eclipse, was won by Crank (Protoss) against Agu (Protoss). Crank executed a bold forward two-gate build, placing shield batteries near Agu's base. Precise zealot control and shield recharging allowed Crank to win the engagement and take the game.
The final game, a C-tier match on Fighting Spirit, was won by DDaHyoNi (Protoss) against Sowrum (Terran). DDaHyoNi surprised Sowrum with a 99 forward gate build, then transitioned to a photon cannon rush. After Sowrum cleared the cannons, DDaHyoNi expanded and built up a carrier army. Although Sowrum managed to kill some interceptors with goliaths, DDaHyoNi's eleven carriers ultimately destroyed the Terran player's expansions, securing the 4:1 victory and the tournament title.
