Mechrevo launches Wildcat Lake laptop with 12GB LPDDR5 for around $580
Mechrevo has launched the Unbounded/Boundless 14S 2026, a lightweight 14-inch laptop built around the "Intel" Wildcat Lake platform. The system features the Core 5 315 processor, 12GB of LPDDR5 memory, and a 500GB SSD, with a starting price of 3,899 CNY (approximately $580) in China.
The Core 5 315 is a six-core CPU paired with integrated Xe3 graphics that includes two GPU cores. The 12GB of LPDDR5 memory is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded, while the 500GB SSD is user-replaceable. Mechrevo currently offers this single configuration for the Unbounded 14S 2026.
Performance is managed through three distinct profiles, with the highest setting allowing the processor to operate at up to 30W. The 14-inch display is claimed to cover 100% of the sRGB color gamut and supports DC dimming, though the manufacturer has not specified the screen's brightness or refresh rate.
Power delivery is handled by a 60Wh battery. Mechrevo claims the system can play local video for more than 24 hours on a single charge. The included 65W GaN charger is rated to restore 50% of the battery capacity in approximately 30 minutes.
Connectivity options include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, two 5Gbps USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 output, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The laptop weighs approximately 1.1 kg. There is currently no confirmed launch information for regions outside of China.
