Marsborne promotes ben1337 to head coach
Marsborne has officially named Ben "ben1337" Smith as the team's new head coach. The move follows a period of interim leadership after Hunter "Lucid" Tucker departed the organization on October 15th.
The transition for ben1337 is a natural progression within the organization. Having joined Marsborne on April 10th as part of a major roster overhaul alongside his former BOSS teammates, he has been serving as the team's assistant coach. His appointment officially fills the vacancy left by Lucid, who stepped down due to financial constraints.
ben1337 has already demonstrated his capability in the lead role during several recent events. Back in May, he stepped in as head coach for FRAG TAP Reloaded, where Marsborne secured a second-place finish after falling to Chicken Coop in the grand finals. Most recently, the team showed strong form at the CCT North America 2026 Cup #1, where they claimed third place following a victory over Chicken Coop in the third-place decider.
