Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe: 7 Colors, AMD & Qualcomm

Lenovo has unveiled the IdeaPad Vibe at IFA 2026, positioning the new laptop line as a colorful alternative to the Apple MacBook Neo. The series features AMD Ryzen AI 400 and Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors, targeting a price point of approximately 800 euros.

While competitors primarily rely on Intel Wildcat Lake for budget-oriented devices, Lenovo is diversifying its approach with high-performance chips from AMD and Qualcomm. The company explicitly states that the IdeaPad Vibe was not designed for a specific user type but rather to adapt to different lifestyles and creative ambitions. However, the vibrant color options and pricing strategy clearly indicate an effort to attract a younger audience with a more affordable alternative to the MacBook Neo, which is currently priced at 800 euros in Germany.

A key differentiator for the IdeaPad Vibe is its refusal to heavily cut corners on specifications. ComputerBase notes that many early "MacBook Neo killers" based on Intel Wildcat Lake are so stripped down that they lack genuine competitiveness, except perhaps in battery life. In contrast, the IdeaPad Vibe offers robust processing power through AMD Ryzen AI 400 or Qualcomm Snapdragon X, placing it in a different performance tier than the Intel-based competitors.

The device is available in 14-inch and 15-inch unibody designs, featuring a consistent set of ports regardless of screen size. Lenovo offers the chassis in seven distinct colors: Chill Blue, Zen Green, Spicy Gold, Radiant Coral, Dreamy Violet, Lowkey Grey, and Moody Blue. Memory configurations vary by processor; AMD models support up to 32 GB of replaceable SO-DIMM RAM, while Qualcomm models utilize LPDDR5X. The system also supports dual SSD installations.

Although Lenovo has set a target price of 800 euros for the base configuration, the manufacturer has not disclosed the cost of the maximum specification model. The final retail configurations are expected to be available starting in October 2026.
