Honkai: Nexus Anima to launch in Spring 2027; Final Closed Beta begins November 25
miHoYo has officially set a release window for Honkai: Nexus Anima, confirming the open-world creature-catching adventure RPG will arrive in Spring 2027. Alongside the launch announcement, the developer revealed that the final closed beta test is scheduled to begin on November 25, with registration now open via the official website.
The upcoming test aims to provide a comprehensive look at the world of Honkai: Nexus Anima. Players will step into the role of an Animaster, starting their journey from the town of Iia. According to miHoYo, this phase will feature expanded storytelling, new gameplay mechanics, and deeper exploration compared to previous iterations. The adventure is set to introduce new characters, including companions and rivals, each with their own unique backgrounds and motivations.
The exploration experience will span various environments within Iia, ranging from traditional bank halls and high-rise office buildings to a breezy lighthouse island. To support the journey, players will have access to an RV for resting and the ability to build habitats for their Anima while exploring the map.
A key focus of this beta is the evolution and interaction of the Anima. Players can encounter Anima in their Chromatic forms, and juvenile Anima will accompany players, growing from fledglings into formidable companions. Social interactions are also being expanded, allowing players to hold hands, hug, or be lifted by their Anima. Additionally, miHoYo is adjusting the Eidos Event Bond and Anima Event Bond systems: the first 5-star Eidos or Anima obtained will be guaranteed to be the current limited one, and obtaining a limited Eidos will also grant the matching Anima Companion for free.
Combat mechanics are also receiving significant updates. A new Nexus Arena mode will allow players to build custom lineups and compete in ranked matches. Furthermore, enemies in the open world and various challenge stages will be tuned to be tougher, providing a more demanding combat experience.
Beta Test Details
The Final Closed Beta is a limited-slot test that will include a full data wipe upon completion. The test will be available on PC, Android, and iOS. Interested players must complete a recruitment questionnaire on the official website; selected participants will be notified via an eligibility checker, email, or SMS. Further details regarding the specific test schedule are expected in future announcements.
