Helldivers 2: Scope of Authority Premium Warbond launches Oct 20
Arrowhead Game Studios is preparing a new way for players to combat the enemies of Managed Democracy. On October 20, the Scope of Authority Premium Warbond will arrive in Helldivers 2. This new content tier is specifically designed for players who favor long-range engagement and stealthy tactics, providing a specialized arsenal for precision strikes.
Precision-Oriented Arsenal
The core of this new Warbond revolves around tools for snipers and tactical specialists. The standout addition is the R-40 Sightliner, a bolt-action sniper rifle. According to the developers, this weapon aims to strike a delicate balance between stability and power, offering both armor-piercing capabilities and long-range precision.
To complement a long-range primary, the P-44 Mist machine pistol is introduced. This compact, one-handed sidearm is designed for quick deployment if an enemy closes the distance. For much larger threats, the AMW-20 Apex anti-materiel rifle is available. This backpack-fed, heavy-duty rifle features an assisted reload mechanic and is described as being capable of overwhelming even the most heavily armored foes.
Energy weapon enthusiasts can look forward to the LAS-44 Nova, a new entry in the LAS series. This rifle utilizes infinite thermal projectiles but requires a short charge cycle before firing. A key optimization in this model is an improved cooldown routine, allowing for sustained fire after targets are eliminated.
Additionally, the G-11 Caltrops grenade provides tactical utility by scattering proximity-detonated submunitions. These projectiles are designed to slow and stun enemies, effectively setting them up for precision shots from primary weapons.
Tactical Camouflage and Gear
The Warbond also introduces specialized armor designed for environmental concealment. The SS-33 Mimetic Marshal light armor utilizes adaptive fiber technology and light-diffusing netting to help players blend into their surroundings. This set is accompanied by the Mimetic Mesh cape and a matching player card.
For players who prefer a more mobile approach, the SS-15 Focal Point medium armor offers integrated adaptive camouflage and a distinctive asymmetrical visor. It is paired with the Boundary Banner cape.
Both armor sets feature the Stationary Shroud passive ability. This mechanic reduces weapon sway and detection range while the player is in a crouched or prone position, mimicking natural foliage concealment. The update also includes the Manual Ballistic Projection emote and the Longshot title to recognize skilled marksmen.
As a reminder, unlocking the Scope of Authority content requires Super Credits and existing game progression. The Premium Warbond launches on October 20.
