G2 Esports and Nongshim RedForce Advance to VALORANT Champions Playoffs
G2 Esports and Nongshim RedForce have officially advanced to the VALORANT Champions playoffs. Following decisive victories in Groups C and D, both teams secured their progression, while Team Liquid and Karmine Corp concluded their tournament runs in 9th–12th place.
G2 Esports Secure Second Seed in Group C
In the Group C matchup, G2 Esports swept Team Liquid with a 2-0 series victory. The series opened on Split, where G2 took a tight 13:10 win, before closing out the series on Abyss with a 13:7 scoreline. The victory secures second place in the group for G2.

Trent "trent" Cairns stood out as the match MVP, delivering a 253 ACS—marking a 18% increase over his six-month average. While trexx showed strong performance for Team Liquid, the squad was unable to overcome the G2 momentum.
Nongshim RedForce Fight Back in Group D
The Group D showdown saw a dramatic comeback from Nongshim RedForce. After dropping the first map, Sunset, by 9:13 against Karmine Corp, Nongshim responded with dominant performances on Summit (13:5) and Haven (13:6). The 2-1 series win earns Nongshim the second playoff spot in Group D.
Lee "Dambi" Hyuk Kyu earned MVP honors, posting a 260 ACS, which is 12% above his average over the past six months. For Karmine Corp, the loss marks the end of their journey in the tournament.
The VALORANT Champions is currently taking place in Shanghai, running from September 23 to October 18. Sixteen teams are competing for the world championship title and a prize pool of $2.25 million. The playoffs are scheduled to begin on October 7.
