Fabre returns to Eternal Fire as head coach
Sezgin “Fabre” Kalaycı has returned to Eternal Fire, replacing Yiğit “yT” Özden as head coach. This marks the Turkish coach’s return to the organization after more than a year spent with Aurora.
Fabre previously led Eternal Fire from 2022 until April 2025. During that period, the team reached the Major playoffs twice, advancing to the quarterfinals of PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. After moving to Aurora, he guided the squad to the semifinals of IEM Cologne Major.
yT’s final tournament in charge of Eternal Fire was Stake Ranked Episode 4, where the team finished in 9th–16th place. Earlier in his tenure, the organization won European Pro League Season 8 by defeating 1win Team 3:2 in the grand final.
Fabre will now reunite with Samet “jottAAA” Köklü and Caner “soulfly” Kesici, whom he previously coached at Aurora. This move also makes Eternal Fire the first English-speaking roster of Fabre’s career.
The updated roster’s next tournament is Stake Pulse Beat II, taking place from September 21 to 26 in Stockholm. The event features a $60,000 prize pool, with the winner receiving $20,000. Sixteen teams will compete in the group stage across four GSL groups, with the top eight advancing to the playoffs.
