ExileCon 2026 Streaming Rules: Grinding Gear Games Sets Conduct Guidelines for IRL Creators

With ExileCon 2026 approaching, organizers have released a Code of Conduct for streamers planning to broadcast IRL content from the event. As the convention in Auckland is set to feature major announcements for Path of Exile 2, Grinding Gear Games has established these guidelines to balance live broadcasting with the safety and comfort of all attendees.

The guidelines prioritize the comfort and privacy of attendees above all else. Streamers are prohibited from disrupting presentations, interviews, or developer talks. The code also emphasizes respectful behavior, strictly forbidding any content that mocks or belittles attendees or staff. If an individual provides social cues indicating they do not wish to be filmed, streamers are required to respect that and move on.

Specific restrictions have been placed on what can and cannot be broadcast live. The following are explicitly prohibited from being streamed:

Technical etiquette is also a key part of the rules. Creators are asked to ensure that camera arms and equipment do not obstruct others. When recording reactions to the main stage presentations, streamers must ensure they do not block the view of nearby attendees or film them without permission. Grinding Gear Games reserved the right to terminate a stream for breaches of conduct and may remove individuals from the event for repeated non-compliance.

ExileCon 2026 is scheduled for November 7–8 in Auckland, New Zealand. The event is expected to serve as a platform for Grinding Gear Games to reveal new content for Path of Exile 2 as the title moves toward its full release.
