Cyberpunk 2077 gains Xbox Play Anywhere support
Cyberpunk 2077 has officially joined the Xbox Play Anywhere program. This means digital purchases are now cross-platform: anyone who owns the game on Xbox can access the PC version through the Xbox app for free, and vice versa for PC owners.
Microsoft ecosystem expansion
The Play Anywhere program, launched by Microsoft in 2017, allows players to use a single digital license across different devices. The addition of a major title like Cyberpunk 2077 strengthens this ecosystem, offering seamless cross-platform access for those who purchased the game via the Xbox Store.
Upcoming content updates
The rollout coincides with new content updates for the title. A patch scheduled for next week is expected to introduce elements inspired by the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series. In addition to the series-inspired content, the update will reportedly include a new mystery quest for V and a new perk for dual-wielding pistols.
