Corsair Adds Elgato Stream Deck Button to Nightsword V2 Mouse

Corsair has updated its Nightsword V2 gaming mouse with a dedicated integration for Elgato Stream Deck. Instead of a separate controller, the device now includes a third side button that opens a virtual overlay of customizable macros directly on your screen. Corsair markets this feature as part of the "Wireless SD Stream Deck Gaming-Maus" lineup.

How It Works

The Nightsword V2 now features three programmable side buttons. The third button launches the Web Hub browser application, which displays a grid of virtual keys over your gameplay. Each key can be assigned a macro via the Elgato plugin marketplace. Available plugins range from free productivity tools to paid game-specific configurations.

Note that this is not a full hardware expansion but a software emulation. Corsair emphasizes that the mouse is now part of the "Elgato Stream Deck ecosystem," but the buttons remain virtual overlays rather than physical switches on a separate device.

Technical Specifications

The Corsair Marksman S sensor delivers 33,000 CPI resolution, 750 IPS tracking speed, and up to 50g acceleration. Data transmission occurs via cable, Bluetooth, or a wireless dongle with polling rates up to 8,000 Hz. The device weighs 89 grams.

Battery life varies based on settings: reducing the polling rate to 1,000 Hz and disabling RGB lighting extends runtime to up to 170 hours. At maximum performance (8,000 Hz + RGB), battery life drops to approximately 25.5 hours per charge.

Price and Availability

The Nightsword V2 is priced at around €130 and is currently available in the official Corsair store and through general retail channels. At launch, features such as Lift-Off Detection are not yet implemented.
