CD Projekt Red releases PS5 and PS5 Pro update, reassures players regarding Switch 2 patch
CD Projekt Red has released an update for The Witcher 3 Remastered on PS5 and PS5 Pro. The hotfix, designated as 5.01b, focuses on various stability improvements to ensure a more reliable gaming experience.
The rollout of the PlayStation update prompted some concern among players waiting for the promised Nintendo Switch 2 patch. In response, the studio took to X to reassure the community, stating that they are working to bring the Switch 2 update to all users as soon as possible. This upcoming patch is expected to enhance the game's visual clarity and sharpness.
Since its release two weeks ago, CD Projekt Red has been actively addressing issues within the Remastered edition. This transformative update significantly alters visuals, animations, skills, and certain gameplay mechanics. While some players initially criticized the increased brightness in the remaster, the developers have been working to address these visual aspects through subsequent patches.
The release of The Witcher 3 Remastered also serves as a precursor to the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion, expected next year. The expansion is set to introduce a new region, dozens of hours of content, and a story centered around Geralt's companion, Dandelion.
