CCT NA Challengers #1: four 2-0s in quarterfinals advance favorites to semifinals
The CCT NA Challengers #1 tournament moves into its final stage: following last night's quarterfinals, the semifinal, third-place decider, and grand final matchups have been set.
The favorites largely prevailed during the quarterfinal stage, with three of the four matches resulting in clean sweeps. Marsborne, DETONATE, and Elusive secured their advancement by defeating feet67, Keep Talking, and Crimson Vortex. The only upset came from Villainous, who fell 0-2 to Feistein in a closely contested series.
Nikolaos "Pose1doNN" Antoniou stood out in the DETONATE victory over Keep Talking. The Greek-American sniper delivered a dominant performance, finishing the series with a 1.81 rating and a 46/19 K/D, including three crucial clutches.
Villainous competed with a modified roster due to recent changes. Following the departure of Connor "Jolts" Haines, Brett "brett" Rhein stepped in as a stand-in, while Owen "man327" Seolas played in place of Jasper "Burglar" Martin. Feistein also utilized roster shifts during their series, employing Jolts for the first map before Valerii "AEROj" Filinyuk joined for the second.
