C9 vs Karmine Corp: Europe and North America Clash in Worlds 2026 Play-In
Europe and North America are set to face off once again at the upcoming League of Legends World Championship. Following the draw conducted by Riot Games on October 10, Cloud9 and Karmine Corp have been paired for the opening match of the Play-In stage.
The draw took place in Rio de Janeiro following the conclusion of the CBLoL Split 2 finals. Karmine Corp enters the tournament as the 3rd seed from the LEC, following their participation in last year's First Stand. The roster features Kanna (Kim Chang-dong) and Yehu (Kang Ye-hu). They will face Cloud9, who secured their spot as the 3rd seed from the LCS despite losses to Team Liquid and Lions during the LCS Split 2 playoffs.
The other matchup in the bracket features FURIA, the CBLoL Split 2 runners-up, against MVK eSports, who qualified via LCP Championship Points. MVK eSports is led by SofM (Lê Quang Duy), who serves as both the player and head coach.
The Play-In stage will follow a double elimination format in Best-of-5 series. The winner of each matchup will advance to the Swiss Stage of the main event.
