ASUS has released the ROG Hone Control Ace L Vitality Edition, a limited-edition gaming mousepad developed in collaboration with Team Vitality. Priced at 12,080 yen, the accessory is designed with a focus on high friction and precise control, specifically tailored for the demands of Counter-Strike and VALORANT players.
The new mousepad is a co-developed model that incorporates feedback from professional players on Team Vitality's Counter-Strike and VALORANT rosters. According to ASUS, the design prioritizes a higher coefficient of friction to enhance stopping power. This approach is intended to support the quick flicks, large swipes, and precise aim adjustments required in competitive tactical shooters.
To ensure consistent performance, the surface is engineered to provide uniform glide across both the X and Y axes. This uniformity is designed to deliver stable tracking without the directional inconsistencies that can sometimes affect aim precision. The edges of the pad feature a stitchless curved edge design, utilizing a natural taper process rather than traditional stitching. ASUS states that this construction reduces friction and strain on the wrist and forearm during extended gaming sessions.
Beneath the surface, the pad utilizes a high-density polyurethane memory foam base for structural support. The top layer also includes a water-repellent coating to protect the material from spills.
