Studio Wildcard has released Community Crunch 531 for ARK: Survival Ascended, marking a significant update to the game's creature roster and community-driven content. The update introduces the first season of Fantastic Tames, featuring the shapeshifting Enigmasaur, and kicks off the highly anticipated Giganotosaurus TLC (Tame Logic Change) following successful community fundraising efforts for Extra Life.
The update marks the launch of the first season of Fantastic Tames, a collection of extraordinary creatures forged from the mystical anomalies of the ARK. These additions are designed to defy nature, offering unique abilities to a player's tribe. This inaugural season provides access to three specific new additions: the Burrowbuck, Cerberax, and the Enigmasaur.
The Enigmasaur stands out as a specialized shapeshifter. Rather than simply imitating the appearance of other species, it effectively becomes them, allowing it to blend into environments so convincingly that even members of the same species might not notice the deception. A key mechanic of this creature is its ability to retain certain traits from its mimics; for instance, an Enigmasaur mimicking a Rex might retain a scorpion's sting, providing a layer of unpredictable utility during combat or taming.
Giganotosaurus TLC and Extra Life Fundraising
Following community votes during the Extra Life campaign, the Giganotosaurus is officially receiving its TLC (Tame Logic Change). Once the undisputed apex predator of the ARKs, the Giganotosaurus is being reworked to move away from the old method of simply using tranquilizers from a safe distance. The new approach requires survivors to prove themselves against the ARK's fiercest threats, turning the taming process into a high-stakes confrontation where pushing the beast to its limits is essential.
This update is part of a larger initiative to support the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. To date, the community has raised over $107,000 for Extra Life. Studio Wildcard has implemented a milestone system where every $40,000 raised unlocks a TLC for a classic creature, with up to four such updates possible. All donations made to Team Wildcard go directly to the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.
ARK: Dragontopia Reveal Schedule
While details regarding ARK: Dragontopia continue to emerge, Studio Wildcard has announced a specific schedule for upcoming reveals. The next two additions to Dragontopia will be showcased during HillbillyWilly's stream on November 7, starting at 7 AM Pacific. Following this, the creator GP will release a special video on his channel on Monday, November 9, to reveal the final two additions for the project.
