AMD is reportedly preparing an entry-level Radeon RX 9050 on RDNA 4 with 2,048 shaders and 8 GB of VRAM

According to reports highlighted by Tom’s Hardware, AMD is working on a budget-oriented Radeon RX 9050 built on the RDNA 4 architecture. That would make it the lowest-tier model in the new family, below the RX 9060 and RX 9070 cards.

An unusual configuration

The most surprising part of the leak is the shader count: 2,048 cores, which could leave the RX 9050 in an odd position relative to other cards in the lineup. The rumored memory configuration is 8 GB of GDDR6.

At this stage the card remains unofficial, so final clocks, pricing, and launch timing are still uncertain.
