Alan Wake 2 DLC #1: Night Springs — Trophy Guide & Roadmap

Welcome to the Alan Wake 2 DLC #1: Night Springs trophy guide! The expansion consists of three short episodes featuring different characters. All trophies can be earned on any difficulty, including Casual, and episodes may be completed in any order.

A minimum of three playthroughs is required—one for each episode. There is no level select or manual save system; only checkpoints are available. Be careful: five trophies are missable if conditions are not met at the right moment.

Episode 1: Number One Fan

Complete Episode 1 and pay attention to two key objectives:

  1. Hot Biscuits! — defeat three Haters enemies with a single explosion. The best time is during the first encounter. Group three enemies closely: either use the large explosion from a canister on the beach, or throw a handheld explosive (default button) when two of the first three enemies break through the gate onto the dock while you stand with your back to the gate.
  2. I Could Listen to Him All Day — listen to all Writer’s messages. Two of the three are story-related and cannot be missed. The third message is found before entering the cabin: after collecting the book in the café, continue through the chapter, cross the bridge, go slightly downhill, and follow a path to the right leading to a book. Read it before reaching the cabin.

Once you reach the door on the top floor of the mansion, you will unlock Love Always Wins!.

Episode 2: North Star

In Episode 2, there are two critical objectives:

  1. Smooth Blend — enter the warehouse office without being caught by Coffee Mascots in two attempts or less. After entering the Warehouse, wait until the mascot in front of you moves left, then go right from the start to find the Warehouse Office Key. Return to where the mascot first appeared—you will have enough time to grab the key and enter the office before it returns.
  2. Percolate — open all six Stashes using a short Simon Says sequence (3–6 inputs). Their locations are:
  • East of the gazebo where the Sheriff is located—the stash is behind a building.
  • To the right of the Welcome Centre tent with the glowing TV—the stash is by the Percolator ride in the corner.
  • Head left from the tent down to the dock—the stash is in the corner there.
  • Go up towards the Tasting Room and enter the play area behind it—you will find this stash.
  • Approach the Slow Roaster Ferris Wheel and head left—the stash is behind a large bottle.
  • To the left of the Warehouse entrance—the stash is behind a truck. You will need the flashlight from the Sheriff to reach this one.

Before entering the Warehouse, find the keypad next to the Roasting Bar. A riddle is on the wall to the right. Enter code 487 to unlock Dark as the Void. This must be done before entering the Warehouse.

Finish the episode by going down the ladder in the Warehouse Office to earn You Are Coffee.

Episode 3: Time Breaker

In Episode 3, there is one missable trophy:

  • This Page Here — read the screenplay in the Green Room. Upon entering, interact with the pages on the floor before the body.

The remaining trophies are earned automatically through story progression:

  • Retro — survive the arcade game reality after using the Lumivista TV at Oceanview Hotel. Defeat five waves of enemies, grab the Energy Node, and leave again.
  • Ride the Vortex — find the Energy Node in the forest, return to the trailer, and interact with the Lumivista TV twice to reach Oceanview Hotel.
  • Multiversal Agent — complete the text-based adventure at the end of the episode.
