$30,000 Austin LAN Announced for November
Austin "Austin" Meadows, a prominent content creator in the Counter-Strike 2 scene, has officially unveiled Austin LAN. The open LAN event is scheduled to run from November 13th to the 15th at the Sheraton Lisle Naperville Hotel.
To avoid confusion, Meadows clarified that this is not an event in the city of Austin, Texas. It is a personal project teased back in February last year, which has now come to fruition after a full year of planning. The announcement marks a significant step forward for independent LAN organization in the region.
Format and Partnership
The event will be classified as a Ranked tournament, making it relevant for player rankings. It is expected to be one of the first events after the cutoff for the PGL Singapore Major, meaning VRS points will largely go toward events in 2027.
As the event is in partnership with FRAG, the tournament will utilize FRAG's computer hardware and presumably their admin team. This ensures a professional infrastructure level for the participants.
Tickets will go on sale on August 27th, costing $2,250 per team. The package includes five player tickets, two hotel rooms, and a dinner buffet for the three nights of the event. Interested teams can find the signup link via the official announcement.
