2GAME Esports Residence Robbed Before Match with Sentinels
On August 20, unknown individuals broke into 2GAME Esports' residence in the US while the team was preparing to compete in VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2. Personal belongings of the players were stolen during the incident.
Representatives from 2GAME Esports confirmed that no team members were inside at the time of the break-in. Everyone is safe and unharmed. The organization has already contacted local law enforcement and is taking necessary measures to investigate the situation.
No information regarding the value of the stolen items or other details of the incident has been disclosed. Despite the robbery, the match against Sentinels will not be postponed. It is scheduled to take place on August 20 at 23:00 CEST, as originally planned.
The teams will compete in the first round of the lower bracket Play-In. Previously, 2GAME Esports lost to FURIA with a score of 1:2, and Sentinels were defeated by ENVY with a score of 0:2. The loser of the upcoming series will exit VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2, while the winner will continue to fight for a spot in the main playoff stage.
