Zombie Apocalypse in Kamona: Details on Arena Breakout: Infinite Season 7

Morefun Studios is preparing a massive shift in the concept of Arena Breakout: Infinite. With the launch of Season 7, titled Utopia, the project is moving away from the traditional extraction shooter format toward a more hybrid and diverse gameplay experience. The headline news is the official introduction of a zombie mode, presented in two variations: PvPvE and PvE Endless.

Mutants and New Combat Dynamics

The introduction of Zombie Mode is not just about adding new mobs; it is an attempt to deepen the strategic depth of raids. In the Infected Area mode, mutants will appear on maps such as Farm, Valley, and Airport. Players will face more than just standard mutants, encountering unique types: from Reapers that launch corrosive attacks to massive Breachers and the formidable boss known as Phobos. To survive these conditions, developers are introducing a specific arsenal: pheromone grenades to lure hordes, flare guns to call in air drops, healing smoke grenades, and new stimulants.

For those seeking a more sustained, PvE-focused challenge, the Zombie Endless mode is being launched. This is a survival experience where a team of 1–4 players faces an ever-escalating threat level. This mode features an independent out-of-raid growth system where players can accumulate merits to unlock permanent abilities that assist in survival.

Mechanics of Interaction and Economy

A key new feature this season is the Field Merchant. During a raid, players can now sell looted supplies to save backpack space or try their luck with mystery boxes. This adds an element of unpredictability: high-priced mystery cargo offers the chance for a massive profit but carries a significant risk of loss.

The progression system has also seen updates. New core masteries have been added, such as Acoustic Earpads (reducing the sound-blocking effect of helmets) and Tactical Belt (expanding pockets by 4 1×1 slots). Unlike regular masteries, these core masteries do not consume points and reset every season, allowing players to flexibly tailor their playstyle to current tasks.

Weapons and Balance: The Era of 'Kits'

Developers are experimenting with customization by introducing the Season Kits system. These are temporary modules that fundamentally change weapon characteristics. For example, the M110 with a binary trigger becomes a high-output machine, while the PCC9 gains a fully-automatic firing mode. It is important to note that these kits will be removed at the end of the season, making them a tool for temporary meta shifts.

Regarding balance, Morefun Studios states they are intentionally increasing TTK (time to kill) and increasing the reward for headshots. Additionally, new weapons have been added: the high-firepower A545 and the AK15SC in 7.62×39 caliber.

Editorial Verdict

The Utopia season looks like a massive attempt by Arena Breakout: Infinite to expand its audience through survival-horror elements. The introduction of zombies and field merchants makes the game less linear, which might spark debate among hardcore fans accustomed to pure PvP. However, improvements such as the optimized results system (showing damage 30 seconds prior to elimination) and the Workbench rework suggest that the developers are closely monitoring user experience.
