Yu Yong Jin wins first set of ASL Season 22 Grand Finals
At the Google Play ASL Season 22 Grand Finals held in Seoul, Yu Yong Jin (known as "Rush") took the first set against Kim Min Chul on the Knockout map.
The match began with both players expanding their bases: Yu Yong Jin focused on securing his entrance and expanding at the 10 o'clock position, while Kim Min Chul expanded clockwise. Kim Min Chul launched an early offensive with a group of Zerglings, but Yu Yong Jin successfully held the line using Vultures and later deployed Tanks to repel incoming Hydralisks.
After stabilizing his production and scouting with Valkyries, Yu Yong Jin successfully defended against a Mutalisks and Scourge aerial assault thanks to well-placed Turrets. The turning point came during a central engagement, where Yu Yong Jin's combination of Science Vessels, Tanks, and Marines secured a tactical advantage. Capitalizing on this momentum, Yu Yong Jin pushed into Kim Min Chul's expansion at 2 o'clock, securing the set victory 12 minutes and 39 seconds into the game.
